Hello everyone! My name is KJ Kendell and I am passionate about do it yourself  living and finding joy in frugal circumstances. I am a firm believer in living life at its fullest, no matter how bulged or empty your pockets.

Life is busy, often crazy, and more times than not – messy. Not to mention, life often comes financially slim.

Wading through the sprinkles and downpours of life can be challenging and feel overwhelming. Yet over the years, I have found much joy in working out the puzzle of life’s many obstacles; particularly by exploring new ways to help make the most of my and my family’s limited time, limited space, and (often) very limited money.

As a born and raised Idaho farmgirl, I am a lover of the land, of agriculture, and of open, airy spaces. Though farm kids at heart, my husband and I currently find ourselves boxed in city limits and living the “unsettled” situation of career stepping. We both look forward to someday buying a home and establishing roots in a community, one hopefully with enough dirt and work surrounding it to keep my husband’s hands calloused and my fingernails a constant mess.

Some of my favorite hobbies include warming the house on a cold winter’s day with fresh made bread; baking cookies with my little home crew; building home furniture pieces out of pallets or repurposed wood; canning — it doesn’t matter what, just as long as I get to seal it in a jar; sewing; doodling in the garden; and lounging around a campfire with family in the Gem State’s magnificent mountains.

I am a busy mother of three and a proud partner to my husband. As a full-time working woman and mother turned stay at home mom, I understand the joys and struggles of everyday life (and midday life, evening life, and middle of the night life).

I am a believer in home cooked meals and living within your means. Although I enjoy eating a good tasting, homemade anything (lunch, dinner, dessert, and all the snacks in-between), I have no desire to be a slave to the kitchen. Which is where I try to find the balance to delicious, nutritious food that doesn’t require a ton of time and work.

I am a wholehearted believer in God and a believer in families. A believer in being honest and simple in your lifestyle as well as interactions with others.

I’m so glad you’ve chosen to visit my humble little corner of the internet. Welcome. ♥
